Amanda Gallagher Obituary, Death – A tragic accident involving a moving airplane propeller claimed the life of 37-year-old Amanda Gallagher, a Kansas woman, over the weekend. Gallagher, who was from Wichita, was reportedly taking photos of people boarding and exiting planes at the Air Capital Drop Zone, a skydiving center located in Derby, Kansas, southeast of Wichita.

On Saturday afternoon, while capturing these photos, Gallagher accidentally backed into a moving propeller, according to information provided by the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office. The severe injury led to her being transported to a nearby hospital, where she later died due to the critical injuries she sustained.

Law enforcement has indicated that there appears to be nothing suspicious about the incident, though an official investigation was still underway as of Monday.

In response to the tragedy, Cook Airfield, where the accident took place, shared a heartfelt message on Facebook. The post extended condolences to Gallagher’s loved ones and her community at the Air Capital Drop Zone, requesting that people keep her family, friends, and skydiving community in their thoughts and prayers. The airfield chose not to comment on potential preventive measures or speculate on what might have been done differently in this unfortunate situation.

To help Gallagher’s family with funeral expenses, a GoFundMe campaign has been launched to provide financial support during this difficult time.
