Dean Cornelius Obituary, Death – The Texas Department of Public Safety reported on Monday that a Gainesville man lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Interstate 35 the previous week. The victim has been identified as 30-year-old Dean Cornelius.
According to troopers, Cornelius was riding his motorcycle at a high speed on the northbound side of I-35, near Lone Oak Road in Cooke County, shortly after 9 p.m. on Wednesday. In a tragic turn of events, he collided with the rear of a northbound 18-wheeler.
Emergency responders pronounced Cornelius dead at the scene of the accident. Fortunately, the driver of the truck was unharmed in the incident.
