James R. Rouse Obituary, Death – A single-vehicle accident in Limestone County on Saturday afternoon has resulted in the identification of the victim. According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the individual who lost his life was 56-year-old James R. Rouse.
The incident took place when Rouse was driving a 1993 Chevrolet C1500 pickup truck. As he traveled along Salem Minor Hill Road, located approximately four miles south of Lester, Alabama, the vehicle veered off the road. Reports indicate that the truck struck a ditch before overturning and subsequently colliding with a utility pole.
At the time of the crash, Rouse was not wearing a seatbelt, which is noted to have contributed to the severity of his injuries. Emergency responders transported him to Athens Limestone Hospital for medical treatment. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of medical staff, Rouse succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival at the hospital.
