Jackson Murdock Obituary, Death – A tragic two-vehicle crash in Bonneville County claimed the lives of a teenage boy and a man. County Coroner Rick Taylor identified the victims, stating that the 17-year-old boy was from Bonneville County. The boy, later named as Jackson Murdock, was a senior at Bonneville High School. Murdock was extricated from his vehicle but died from multiple traumatic injuries. The school district sent a letter to students, expressing condolences and offering grief support through additional counselors and social workers.

The other victim, Austin Blakely, 28, of Ririe, was ejected from his vehicle and also died from traumatic injuries, according to Taylor.

The crash occurred late Tuesday night on U.S. Highway 26, north of Iona. Murdock, driving a white Hyundai Sonata, crossed the center line and collided with Blakely’s blue Dodge pickup truck. Both men died at the scene, and neither was wearing a seatbelt. The Idaho State Police are investigating the incident and encourage anyone with information to contact them.

The Bonneville High School community is mourning Murdock’s loss, with school officials asking for thoughts and support for the teenager’s friends and family during this difficult time.
