Hoang Xuan Tran Obituary, Death: A man has died as a result of injuries sustained in a hit-and-run incident in Westminster, prompting police to actively search for the driver responsible. Authorities reported this development on Tuesday.
The collision took place around 10:20 p.m. on Monday at the intersection of Westminster Boulevard and Yockey Street, located between Newland Street and Magnolia Street, as per the Westminster Police Department’s account.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a male victim lying in the eastbound lanes of Westminster Boulevard. Emergency responders from the Orange County Fire Authority attempted to revive the injured man, but despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the location.
The victim was identified as 58-year-old Hoang Xuan Tran, who was reportedly living as a transient, according to the Orange County coroner’s office.
Witnesses indicated that a new, dark-colored sedan fled the scene prior to the arrival of the police and was last seen traveling east on Westminster Boulevard.
