Andrew Aker Obituary, Death – A tragic incident occurred in Terrebonne Parish on Thursday night, resulting in the death of a man after his vehicle crashed into a utility pole and subsequently fell into a bayou. According to the Louisiana State Police, the victim was identified as 63-year-old Andrew Aker from Gibson.
The accident took place around 7 p.m. on North Bayou Black Drive, close to Canrience Pumping Road. Reports indicate that Aker was driving a 2025 Nissan Frontier in a westbound direction when he lost control of his vehicle. The car crossed the centerline, exited the roadway, and struck a utility pole before landing in the bayou, where it became completely submerged.
Authorities confirmed that Aker was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. Unfortunately, he sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
