Investigations revealed that Donna S. Richardson, who was driving a Mitsubishi SUV eastbound on Ellerslie Avenue, suffered a medical emergency while behind the wheel. This medical incident caused her to veer into the westbound lanes of traffic, where she collided with two other vehicles that were traveling in the opposite direction. These vehicles included a Chevrolet Malibu and a Scion passenger car.
