The driver, identified as 61-year-old Mark Murray, reportedly lost control of the Jeep, causing it to swerve sharply to the left before crashing into trees approximately 15 feet from the roadway. His wife, 57-year-old Susan Murray, was also in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Tragically, both were pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
Fire officials noted that the Jeep suffered significant damage in the collision. When emergency personnel arrived, they found that neither Mark nor Susan Murray had survived the crash.
