Joshua Reynoso-Velasquez Obituary, Death – Delaware State Police have identified Joshua Reynoso-Velasquez, a 28-year-old from Seaford, as the victim of a fatal car crash that occurred early Wednesday the 16th near Greenwood. The crash happened shortly before 5 a.m. when troopers were called to the scene at Shawnee Road and Memory Road. Upon arrival, they found Reynoso-Velasquez dead at the scene.
According to police, Reynoso-Velasquez was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. Investigators determined that he had been driving a Kia Sorento east on Shawnee Road when he failed to navigate a curve, leading him to lose control of the vehicle. The car veered off the road, striking a telephone box and a gas line. After briefly re-entering the road, the car swerved off again and collided with a tree, which caused significant damage.
The road was closed for approximately three hours while troopers conducted their investigation into the cause of the crash.
