Bartolo Freciso Obituary, Death – A fatal crash on I-65 southbound in Kentucky early Sunday morning left one person dead and another injured. According to Kentucky State Police (KSP), the accident happened around 2:50 a.m. in Simpson County near mile marker 6.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 24-year-old Alberto Andres from Portland, TN, veered off the road and collided with a commercial vehicle’s trailer parked on the shoulder. Andres was transported to a hospital in Nashville with injuries of unknown severity. Tragically, the passenger in the Silverado, 24-year-old Bartolo Freciso, also from Portland, TN, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the commercial vehicle, 41-year-old Tiras Prothro from Chicago, IL, was unharmed in the crash.
KSP stated that local authorities, including the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office, EMS, and Fire Department, provided assistance at the scene. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
