Lawerence Neely Obituary, Death – A Utah man tragically lost his life in a vehicle accident on Wednesday, October 9, on eastbound Interstate 80 in Pershing County, Nevada. The victim has been identified as 65-year-old Lawerence Neely from East Carbon, Utah.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, Neely was driving a white Toyota Corolla approximately 20 miles west of Winnemucca when the incident occurred. Reports indicate that Neely’s vehicle collided with the rear of a commercial tractor-trailer. At the time of the accident, the truck was moving at a slow speed.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but unfortunately, Neely was pronounced dead at the site of the crash. Fortunately, the driver of the tractor-trailer did not sustain any injuries in the collision.
The Nevada Highway Patrol has confirmed that the investigation into the accident is still ongoing. Authorities are urging any witnesses or individuals who may have information about the crash to reach out to them at the NHP office by calling 775-753-1111.
