Jasmine Gomez Obituary, Death – A tragic rollover accident on Interstate 215 in Murrieta resulted in the death of a 42-year-old woman, Jasmine Gomez, from Hemet. The incident occurred shortly before noon on Thursday, specifically on the southbound side of the highway, north of Linnel Lane, as reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
According to the CHP’s preliminary investigation, Gomez was driving a sedan when her vehicle collided with a pickup truck towing a trailer and another vehicle. This collision caused her sedan to lose control, leading to a rollover in the fast lane of the highway.
Emergency response teams from Murrieta Fire & Rescue arrived at the scene shortly after the accident. Upon their arrival, they pronounced Gomez dead at the scene due to the severity of her injuries.
The occupants of the other vehicles involved in the crash were assessed by paramedics on-site. Fortunately, they did not appear to sustain serious injuries and did not require hospitalization.
The aftermath of the accident necessitated the partial closure of the southbound lanes of I-215 as crews worked to clear the wreckage and conduct a preliminary investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision. This closure remained in effect until approximately 5 p.m. that day.
Authorities are urging anyone with information related to the incident to contact the Temecula CHP office at 951-466-4300 to assist in the ongoing investigation.
