Lois Eileen Osborne Obituary, Death – A driver has died and another sustained serious injuries in a head-on collision on Highway 47 in Yamhill County, according to the Oregon State Police (OSP). The accident occurred around 12:30 p.m. near milepost 30.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered that one driver, identified as 53-year-old Lois Eileen Osborne from Gaston, had been killed in the crash. OSP’s initial investigation revealed that Osborne was operating a Chevrolet HHR southbound on Highway 47. As she approached a curve, she reportedly failed to navigate it, leading her vehicle into the opposing lane of traffic. Osborne’s Chevrolet then collided head-on with a Dodge Ram pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the Dodge Ram, a 32-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and was promptly transported to the hospital for treatment. In the truck with him were two young boys, aged 9 and 7, who sustained minor injuries. The boys were also taken to the hospital for evaluation.
