Daniel Lee Jennings Obituary, Death – The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the man killed in a potential DUI accident early Monday morning as 54-year-old Daniel Lee Jennings, a resident of Sacramento. The fatal incident occurred around 12:45 a.m. on Franklin Boulevard at Sunmeadow Drive.

According to reports, the crash involved a sedan and an SUV, with Jennings being the only person in the sedan. He sustained critical injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene, as confirmed by the Sacramento Police Department.

The driver of the SUV, 46-year-old Alvin Chand from Elk Grove, reportedly sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. After the accident, law enforcement detained Chand at the hospital due to apparent signs of intoxication.

Chand was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail around 9:30 a.m. on Monday. He faces serious charges, including murder and vehicular manslaughter. According to jail records, he is ineligible for bail and is scheduled to appear in Sacramento County Superior Court on Wednesday afternoon.
