Najee Dickens Obituary, Death – Police in Washington, D.C. have identified the man who was fatally shot in a violent incident that left two others wounded over the weekend in Northeast D.C. The shooting occurred early in the morning on October 5, just after 2 a.m. Officers responded to reports of gunfire at the intersection of Trinidad Avenue and Queen Street.
Upon arriving at the scene, police discovered three victims with gunshot wounds in the 1600 block of Trinidad Avenue. The man who was killed has been identified as Najee Dickens, a 33-year-old resident of Northeast D.C. Despite being transported to the hospital, Dickens later died from his injuries.
The other two victims, a man and a woman, were also treated for their injuries, which were not life-threatening. Both are expected to make a full recovery.
The Metropolitan Police Department is actively investigating the circumstances of the shooting and is urging anyone with information to come forward. To encourage community involvement, the MPD is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in connection with the case.
