Lawrence James Leyvas Obituary, Death – The Kern County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of a young man who died as a result of a stabbing incident that occurred in northwest Bakersfield early Sunday morning. The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Lawrence James Leyvas, a resident of Bakersfield.
The incident took place around 2 a.m. on Sunday, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office. Following the stabbing, Leyvas was transported to Mercy Hospital Southwest for medical treatment. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival at the hospital.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office reported that the stabbing occurred in the vicinity of Jenkins and Hageman roads. However, they did not provide any additional details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
