Gage Barrow Obituary, Death – Authorities have released the identity of the man who was fatally shot outside the Salt Lake City Maverik headquarters on Saturday afternoon. The victim has been identified as 30-year-old Gage Barrow, who was killed during an incident at around 12:18 p.m. on October 5, at the Maverik located on 185 South State Street.
Salt Lake City Police have arrested 49-year-old Farshad Hassan-Pouri in connection with the shooting. He now faces murder charges for the fatal incident.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Barrow lying in the parking lot behind the Maverik, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the immediate efforts of officers, firefighters, and witnesses—one of whom was an emergency room nurse—Barrow was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to investigators, the shooting followed an argument between Barrow and Hassan-Pouri. The police are continuing to investigate the events that led to the tragic confrontation.
