Cedrick E. Garrett Obituary, Death – The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) has confirmed that a man died after being struck by a dump truck early Monday morning. The incident occurred around 6:15 a.m. on Alabama Highway 20, close to Lawrence County Road 273 within the Town Creek city limits.
According to ALEA, the victim, identified as 42-year-old Cedrick E. Garrett, was reportedly walking in the roadway when the accident happened. As the dump truck traveled along the highway, it struck Garrett, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers from ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident to gather more information. As of now, no additional details about the events leading up to the accident have been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
