Jose Angel Ruan Lopez Obituary, Death – A motorcyclist who lost his life in a recent crash in Otay Mesa has been named by local medical officials. Jose Angel Ruan Lopez, aged 20, was involved in the accident on Enrico Fermi Drive heading north, situated just north of Otay Mesa Road, as reported on the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office website.
The collision occurred early Monday at approximately 4:40 a.m. Ruan Lopez was riding a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle when he, for reasons yet to be determined, collided with a yellow box truck that was disabled and parked along the east curb. As a result of the impact, Ruan Lopez was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered severe injuries. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
In response to the incident, authorities closed Enrico Fermi Drive in the northbound direction to conduct their investigation. They are urging anyone who may have witnessed the crash to reach out to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) San Diego Area at 858-293-6000.
