Steven Burgwin Obituary, Death – A 67-year-old motorcyclist, Steven Burgwin of Cicero, tragically died in a collision with an SUV in Cicero on Thursday morning. The crash occurred around 9 a.m. on South Bay Road near Whiting Road, according to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, Thomas Newton.
Burgwin was traveling northbound on South Bay Road when his motorcycle collided with an SUV coming from the opposite direction. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Authorities have not yet identified the driver of the SUV, and no tickets have been issued at this time. Newton explained that the driver’s identity would be released if citations are issued later. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Following the accident, South Bay Road and Whiting Road were temporarily closed.
