Drevon Butler-Warren Obituary, Death – A man found dead behind a grocery store in Mission Valley East last month has been identified by authorities as 25-year-old Drevon Butler-Warren, a San Diego resident. The San Diego Police Department provided this update on Wednesday.
Butler-Warren’s body was discovered on September 26 on the east side of the Food 4 Less grocery store located at 7730 Hazard Center Drive. Despite first aid efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Initially, police believed the cause of death might have been an overdose based on items found near the body. However, after further investigation by patrol officers, authorities began to suspect that Butler-Warren may have been assaulted.
As a result, San Diego Police Homicide Detectives were called in to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death. They are working closely with the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the exact cause of death.
