Thomas Kolden Obituary, Death – A tragic two-vehicle collision in Hubbard County resulted in one fatality on Sunday, September 29. The accident occurred around 11:30 a.m. on US Highway 71, involving a northbound Ford F150 and a Ford Focus that had just pulled out from Highway 87.
According to authorities, the Ford Focus made an abrupt move in front of the F150, leading to a collision between the two vehicles. Following the impact, the Ford Focus was forced into the west ditch, while the Ford F150 also ended up in the same ditch.
The driver of the Ford Focus, identified as 72-year-old Thomas Kolden from Wadena, Minnesota, tragically lost his life in the crash. Meanwhile, the driver and passenger of the Ford F150 sustained injuries that were classified as non-life threatening. They were subsequently transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital for medical attention.
Investigation into the accident revealed that alcohol was not a factor contributing to the crash.
