Grant N. Norwood Obituary, Death – A serious traffic accident occurred early Sunday morning, leading to the death of a 37-year-old man from Ellensburg. The crash took place on State Route 10, near milepost 95, approximately ten miles west of Ellensburg.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the vehicle was heading eastbound when it suddenly veered off the road, rolled down an embankment, and caught fire. The incident happened around 2:34 a.m., prompting emergency services to respond swiftly to the scene.
The driver, identified as Grant N. Norwood, was found dead at the site of the crash. Authorities stated that Norwood was ejected from his vehicle during the accident. It is currently unclear if he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Notably, no other vehicles or individuals were involved in this tragic incident.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation, and authorities have not yet determined whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash. The vehicle involved, a gray 2002 Dodge Dakota pickup, was deemed a total loss and was subsequently removed from the scene.
