Aniela Kowalczyk Obituary, Death – Virginia State Police are currently investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred on Saturday evening on Route 460 in Campbell County. The incident took place just before 8:30 p.m. when a 2013 Chevy Suburban was traveling eastbound and approached the intersection with Scotts Farm Road. The driver was unable to avoid hitting a pedestrian who was wearing dark clothing and crossing the eastbound lanes.
Following the initial collision with the Chevy Suburban, the pedestrian was subsequently struck by a Toyota Tacoma and a GMC Canyon. The victim has been identified as 68-year-old Aniela Kowalczyk, a resident of Campbell County. Tragically, she was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
All three drivers involved in the crash were unharmed and remained at the location after the incident. It was noted that there was no crosswalk in the area where Kowalczyk was walking at the time of the accident.
