Davon Davis Obituary, Death – A man was killed in an overnight shooting in Franklin, according to police reports. Around 3:12 a.m. on Saturday, police began receiving calls about a shooting on the 1600 block of Dorchester Street. When officers arrived, they found a vehicle that had crashed into a house. Inside the vehicle, they discovered the driver, who had been shot. The victim, identified as 37-year-old Davon Davis of Suffolk, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was transported to the chief medical examiner’s office in Norfolk.
Police are asking residents in the Dorchester Street and Dorchester Square Apartments areas with security cameras to contact them. They encourage anyone with information to reach out to the Franklin Police Department or Franklin Crime Solvers, or to submit an anonymous tip online.
