Eddie Lee Obituary, Death – A motorcyclist killed in a head-on collision on 30th Street near Centennial Boulevard has been identified by the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) as 61-year-old Eddie Lee. The crash occurred on Tuesday, September 3, just before 4 p.m., when officers responded to the intersection of North 30th Street and Boardwalk Drive after receiving a report of a crash involving a motorcycle and a car.
According to the CSPD investigation, the motorcyclist was traveling north on 30th Street when he crossed into the oncoming lanes and collided with a southbound car. Unfortunately, Lee was pronounced dead at the scene.
The following day, on September 4, the El Paso County Coroner’s Office confirmed Lee’s identity. CSPD also noted that this incident marked the 39th traffic fatality in Colorado Springs in 2024, a significant increase compared to the 30 fatalities recorded at the same point in 2023.
