On Thursday, CHP officials confirmed Ramirez’s identity, noting that he tragically lost his life after colliding with a metal road sign while riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle on Sample Road.
The accident occurred on Sunday at approximately 8:40 a.m. CHP officers responded to a call about an injury collision on Sample Road, located west of Pittman Hill Road. According to investigators, Ramirez was traveling westbound when he veered off the roadway and onto the dirt shoulder, leading to his collision with the road sign. The impact caused him to be ejected from his motorcycle onto the dirt shoulder. Unfortunately, Ramirez died at the scene of the crash, where his family and friends were present.
In a statement posted on social media, the CHP expressed their condolences to Ramirez’s loved ones. “As with all fatalities we investigate, our thoughts are with his loved ones and friends as they navigate unbearable grief,” the post read. “Though small comfort, he passed doing what he loved, surrounded by those he loved.”
