June Eades Heesen Obituary, Death – The Henrico Police Division has identified the pedestrian killed in a car accident on West Broad Street in Short Pump on September 18 as 63-year-old June Eades Heesen. The crash occurred around 4:49 p.m. in the 11400 block of West Broad Street.
Heesen was found with serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where she unfortunately passed away the next day due to her injuries.
According to police investigations, Heesen was struck by a Nissan Altima as the driver was attempting to make a left turn toward the shopping center’s exit. The driver, who has not yet been identified, remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities. Police indicated that charges will be filed against the driver, though they confirmed that speed, alcohol, and drugs were not contributing factors in the accident.
