Kevelyn Henderson Obituary, Death – The pedestrian who was struck and killed on Midlothian Turnpike in Chesterfield County has been identified as a 45-year-old man from Norfolk. The tragic incident occurred just after 9 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, in the 9300 block of Midlothian Turnpike, near its intersection with North Arch Road.
According to the Chesterfield County Police Department, a 2017 BMW 540i sedan was traveling east on Midlothian Turnpike when it collided with Kevelyn Henderson, who was on the roadway. Henderson was promptly taken to a nearby hospital, where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
A police spokesperson informed 8News that Henderson is listed in Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) records as being from Norfolk. At the time of the accident, he was residing in Chesterfield, specifically in the 200 block of Arboretum Place.
The driver of the BMW remained at the scene following the crash and is cooperating with the ongoing police investigation.
