Malvin Love Obituary, Death – Police are searching for a driver who struck and killed 55-year-old Malvin Love early Wednesday morning on Columbus’ Near East Side. The incident occurred around 1:04 a.m. when Love was crossing East Fifth Avenue at Peters Avenue. A westbound 2012 Toyota Camry hit him as he was walking south. Love was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical services at 1:11 a.m.
Witnesses reported that after the collision, the driver exited the still-moving car and fled the scene on foot. The vehicle continued down the road and eventually stopped near 777 E. Fifth Avenue. Columbus police are investigating the crash.
