Matthew Flood Obituary, Death – A fatal single-vehicle rollover accident occurred in Groton, according to Vermont State Police. The incident took place on Vermont Route 232 near Kettle Pond shortly before 9 p.m. on the evening of the crash.

Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement found a 2004 Ford F-350 overturned. The driver, who was later identified as 34-year-old Matthew Flood from Walden, was found to have sustained fatal injuries in the accident.

Investigators reported that Flood was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. They noted that both the weather and road conditions were clear and dry at the time of the accident, indicating that these factors did not contribute to the incident.

Emergency response at the scene involved multiple local fire departments, including Peacham Fire Department, Plainfield Fire Department, Marshfield Fire Department, Cabot Fire Department, and Calex. These units assisted Vermont State Police in managing the situation and providing necessary support.
