Herry Rangingisan Obituary, Death – The El Paso County Coroner’s Office has identified the motorcyclist who died in a “freak accident” on Interstate 25 as 59-year-old Herry Rangingisan of Aurora, Colorado. The tragic incident occurred on Sunday near the Interquest Parkway exit while Rangingisan was riding his motorcycle in the southbound lanes.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the accident happened when a tire detached from a vehicle traveling in the opposite, northbound direction. The loose tire bounced across the interstate, landing in Rangingisan’s path and causing him to lose control of his motorcycle. The impact from the crash threw Rangingisan off his bike.
First responders arrived quickly at the scene and attempted life-saving measures. Rangingisan was transported to a hospital but, unfortunately, succumbed to his injuries.
News of Rangingisan’s death quickly spread across social media, particularly within the Harley-Davidson riding community, where he was a well-known member. The community expressed deep sorrow and condolences for his loss. The Harley Davidson Club Indonesia — USA, to which Rangingisan was reportedly affiliated, shared a message of sympathy: “We’re saddened by the news. Our deepest condolences.” The club’s Colorado chapter also posted a heartfelt tribute on Facebook, writing, “May your last ride be to a place of peace and freedom, just like the roads you loved.”
As of now, no charges have been filed against the driver of the vehicle from which the tire detached. Authorities continue to investigate the accident, but it remains unclear whether any legal action will be taken. The case has raised concerns about the unpredictable dangers of the road, as even a seemingly small issue, like a loose tire, can lead to devastating consequences.
