Johnny Ray Johnston Obituary, Death – A Longview man died Monday night after being hit by a vehicle. The incident occurred around 7:50 p.m. on the 1500 block of Alpine Road, according to the Longview Police Department.
The police report indicates that an SUV was heading south on Alpine Road when Johnny Ray Johnston, a 62-year-old pedestrian, stepped into the roadway without yielding. The SUV struck Johnston, who was then transported to a local hospital. Despite medical efforts, Johnston succumbed to his injuries.
