Jhari German Obituary, Death – A fatal shooting occurred over the weekend at a Pee Dee apartment complex, resulting in the death of one person. The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about the incident at the Latta Arms Apartments on Sardis Road at approximately 9:47 p.m. on Saturday.
Upon arrival, deputies secured the area and later called in the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) to assist in processing the crime scene, as detailed in the incident report.
The sheriff’s office later confirmed to WMBF News that 18-year-old Ty’drik Bethea had been arrested and charged with murder. Additionally, he faces charges for possession of a weapon during a violent crime. The victim, identified as 21-year-old Jhari German, was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound, according to Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley.
