The victim, 28-year-old Adrian Mendez Ibarra, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred around 4 a.m. on Saturday. The crash took place on northbound Palm Drive, approximately 458 feet north of Camino Aventura.
The Desert Hot Springs Police Department reported that Palm Drive was closed in both directions from southbound Camino Campanero to northbound Camino Aventura for several hours while the crash was investigated. No additional details about the incident have been released.
