Nelson Castillo Obituary, Death – Daviess County Sheriff Brad Youngman has revealed the identity of the man who was fatally shot at the Owensboro Knights of Columbus Hall on Sunday. The victim has been named as 21-year-old Nelson Castillo.
According to authorities, a disturbance occurred during a party at the Knights of Columbus Hall, involving multiple guests. As security guards attempted to intervene and break up the altercation, they encountered an armed individual. In response to the threat, one of the security guards discharged his firearm, hitting the man.
Sheriff Youngman confirmed Castillo’s identity on Monday. Deputies have indicated that the shooting was captured on video by several witnesses present at the scene. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
