Robert Fields Obituary, Death – A man was killed in a shooting outside a hookah lounge in Pee Dee over the weekend. The Florence Police Department reported that officers were called to the Absolen Hookah Lounge on 2nd Loop Road around 2 a.m. on Saturday.
Upon arrival, police discovered an injured individual who was subsequently taken to the hospital but did not survive. Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken identified the deceased as 35-year-old Robert Fields from Florence. According to von Lutcken, Fields was shot in the parking lot of the lounge.
An autopsy for Fields is scheduled to take place at the Medical University of South Carolina. The Florence Police Department is requesting anyone with information about the incident to contact them at 843-665-3191.
