William Goodman Jr, Demonte Tillery Obituary, Death – Two men who were fatally shot Thursday night near downtown Suffolk have been identified by police. The victims are William Goodman Jr., 37, who was pronounced dead at the scene, and Demonte Tillery, 30, who died later at the hospital.

In addition to the two fatalities, three other individuals—two men and a woman—were injured in the shooting. They were taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries and are expected to recover.

As of Friday afternoon, police have not identified any suspects. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. Authorities spent several hours at the scene overnight searching for evidence. On Friday morning, they discovered a dump truck with a bullet hole in the door, broken glass nearby, and what appeared to be a trail of blood on the ground.

The shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m. in the 800 block of East Washington Street. Officers arrived to find the five victims and began their investigation. While there is no specific definition of a mass shooting, many sources consider an incident involving at least four people being shot as one.
