Juanita Ayala Obituary, Death – A 77-year-old woman who died after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a crosswalk in Reedley has been identified as Juanita Ayala, according to the Fresno County Coroner’s Office on Wednesday.
The Reedley Police Department responded to the accident at around 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday at the intersection of 10th and G streets in Reedley. Officers reported that the incident involved a vehicle and a pedestrian. Ayala was crossing the street in a designated crosswalk when she was hit, sustaining severe injuries.
After the collision, Ayala was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno for emergency treatment. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of medical professionals to save her, she later succumbed to her injuries.
Authorities confirmed that the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene following the accident. At this time, investigators have found no evidence that drugs or alcohol contributed to the incident.
