Amiah Prather Obituary, Death – A manhunt is currently underway following the shooting death of a pregnant woman in Kenosha. The tragic incident occurred Friday afternoon near the intersection of 13th Avenue and 65th Street. The woman, identified by her family as 22-year-old Amiah Prather, was found with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle. She was transported to the hospital but unfortunately, both she and her unborn child did not survive.
According to the family, Prather’s baby was expected to be born in just three weeks. During a balloon release event held in her memory, Prather’s mother described her as a vibrant and loving individual. “My baby was one of a kind. She had the biggest heart ever. She loved her children, she loved the Lord, and she just loved life,” Tamia Prather shared with WISN 12 News.
The Kenosha Police Department has released a photo of the suspect, identified as 25-year-old Lawrence Franklin Jr. He is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about Franklin’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Kenosha Police Department at 262-656-1234.
