Halcomb was fatally shot on the 1400 block of South Griswold in Peoria, with authorities receiving the call about the incident at approximately 10:41 p.m.

Upon arriving at the scene, the Peoria Police Department confirmed that Halcomb had been shot, and despite their efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
