Lindsay Holt Obituary, Death – Early Saturday morning, a Vermont woman died in a crash on Interstate 89 in Bethel after her pickup truck veered off the road and hit a tree. Vermont State Police reported that they were called to the scene around 5:34 a.m. to investigate the single-vehicle accident near mile marker 26.2.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a severely damaged Toyota Tundra that had collided with a tree in the highway’s median. The driver of the truck, identified as 41-year-old Lindsay Holt from Plainfield, was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severe injuries sustained in the crash.
Holt’s passenger, 45-year-old Justin Jeror from Enfield, New Hampshire, was transported to Gifford Medical Center with minor injuries. Both Holt and Jeror were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
According to Jeror, Holt was driving northbound on I-89 when she lost control of the truck, causing it to leave the roadway and crash into the tree. The impact resulted in significant front-end damage to the vehicle and fatal injuries for Holt.
The cause of the truck’s deviation from the road remains unknown. At the time of the crash, the weather conditions were cloudy and dark, but the road was dry.
The investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
