Mechelle Hall Obituary, Death – A 48-year-old woman from Lindenhurst has passed away following a motorcycle accident that occurred last week near Antioch. The incident took place around 8:30 p.m. on August 31 at the intersection of Route 59 and Diemer Street in an unincorporated area of Antioch. The crash involved a 1998 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, which was being ridden by the Lindenhurst woman.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the woman, later identified as Mechelle Hall, lying unconscious and unresponsive on the roadway. She was promptly transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center, where her condition was deemed critical and life-threatening. Tragically, Hall succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday morning at the hospital.
Initial findings from the Lake County Coroner’s Office indicate that Hall’s death was due to blunt force trauma resulting from the accident. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office Technical Crash team is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash to determine its cause.
