David Bower Obituary, Death – On Monday, a Nebraska man died in a hang glider crash. Platte County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the incident around 12:15 p.m., which was reported to be about five miles southwest of Duncan, Nebraska, near Highway 30.
When authorities arrived, they found David Bower, 50, from Columbus, Nebraska, deceased at the scene. Bower was attached to an experimental ultralight trike, a type of one-man hang glider, which had crashed into the roof of a garage.
Both the Platte County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the crash.
