Joseph W. Gividen Obituary, Death – A 22-year-old man from Fairport lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Interstate 490 in Rochester on Wednesday night, as reported by the New York State Police.
The tragic incident took place shortly before 10:30 p.m. in the vicinity of the Frederick Douglass-Susan B. Anthony Bridge, which spans I-490, according to Trooper Lynnea Crane. Joseph W. Gividen was traveling westbound on the highway when his motorcycle veered off the road and collided with a guard rail, resulting in him being ejected from the vehicle.
Emergency personnel made efforts to resuscitate him at the scene. Gividen was subsequently transported to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, as stated by Crane. Authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
