Houma-native Roy Miller, Jr Obituary, Death – A tragic collision involving two vehicles on Louisiana Highway 311 resulted in the death of a motorcyclist on Wednesday evening. The Louisiana State Police, Troop C, commenced their investigation into the incident shortly before 5 p.m.
Initial findings indicate that Roy Miller, Jr., a resident of Houma, was operating his 2024 BMW X6 eastbound on Sugar Highland Boulevard, while the motorcyclist was traveling south on the highway concurrently.
For reasons that are still being examined, the BMW did not yield to the oncoming motorcycle and proceeded onto LA Hwy 311, leading to a collision with the rider of the 2021 Yamaha.

Miller was properly secured in his vehicle and did not sustain any injuries.
Authorities reported that Miller exhibited no signs of impairment and voluntarily provided a breath sample, which revealed no alcohol presence. Standard toxicology samples from Ellisor have been collected and are pending analysis.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
