Joann Hammond Obituary, Death – Authorities are currently examining the circumstances surrounding a motorcycle accident that resulted in the death of a 60-year-old woman in St. Albans on Monday evening. The St. Albans Police Department has identified the deceased as Joann Hammond, a resident of Essex, Vermont.
Officers arrived at Fisher Pond Road, close to the intersection with Congress Street, at approximately 11:15 p.m. following reports of a motor vehicle collision.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Hammond was the only individual operating the three-wheeled motorcycle. It is believed that she lost control of the vehicle, leading to the crash and her subsequent ejection from it.
Hammond was transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center, where she later passed away due to her injuries.
