Zeina Mahafzah Obituary, Death – A teenager spending a day at the beach along the Jersey Shore tragically lost her life after being struck by the propeller of a boat she was attempting to board, according to law enforcement officials.
The incident took place near Sunset Park on Long Beach Island at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, as reported by the New Jersey State Police. The victim, identified as 18-year-old Zeina Mahafzah, was on a raft being towed by a boat operated by her father.
While attempting to climb onto the boat, Mahafzah was struck by the propeller. Authorities stated that the young woman, a resident of Wayne, succumbed to her injuries shortly thereafter.
An investigation into the incident is currently underway, and no further details have been released at this time.
