Shauntae Nicole Parker Obituary, Death- A woman killed in a hit-and-run incident in Gardena has been identified, authorities announced on Tuesday. The Gardena Police Department reported that officers responded to a crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle around 11:55 p.m. on Saturday. The incident occurred in the 1600 block of Rosecrans Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found a woman lying in the roadway.
The victim has been identified as 45-year-old Shauntae Nicole Parker, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office. Her place of residence has not been disclosed.
Paramedics who arrived at the scene pronounced Parker dead.
The preliminary investigation suggests that the driver was heading eastbound on Rosecrans Avenue when the vehicle struck the pedestrian. After the collision, the driver fled the scene and did not stop to provide assistance.
