Dana Bruenton Obituary, Death – Police are currently investigating a deadly shooting that took place early Monday morning at a gas station in Paddock Hills. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. at the BP gas station located on Reading Road, near the Norwood Lateral.

Officers responding to the scene found one person dead behind the clerk’s counter inside the gas station. The victim has been identified as 57-year-old Dana Bruenton. At this time, it remains unclear why Bruenton was at the gas station at such an early hour, who the shooter was, or what the motive behind the shooting might have been.

In response to the incident, Charles Williams and other members of the outreach group “Save Our Youth: Kings and Queens” took action by visiting the area around the gas station Monday afternoon. They handed out flyers and spoke with passersby, aiming to raise awareness and promote their message against gun violence.

“Sometimes people stop, especially when they see the ‘Stop Gun Violence’ message on the flyers. They want to know what it’s about,” Williams explained. “Kids hear about and see these things, and they might be drawn to it depending on their environment. We want to encourage those who want to deter this kind of behavior in children rather than encourage it.”

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the shooting to contact the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit at (513) 352-3542.
